Financial Aid for Nursing

I started this site from my own experiences in obtaining financial aid for nursing majors. There are many programs geared toward nursing students. Now is a great time to pursue a nursing career!

Nurses are in demand and very few occupations in life are as rewarding. The media is constantly bombarding people with doom and gloom specific to layoffs throughout the United States and spread over multiple industries. No place is safe to work ... except nursing!:)

What demand never fails? Health!:) People will always need help because their health will fail at some point. A nurses job is never ending. Some see this as a problem, but I see this as a benefit.

Hospitals have team with nursing schools to offer fast tack education!

This is a fact! Why? Because hospitals are in need of good nurses! Nurses are the life-blood of any good hospital. If you have a bachelors degree regardless of major and have a strong desire to help others, you might be a good candidate for nursing. Contact your local hospitals for more information and/or check back on this site.

Various universities offer accelerated nursing programs for non-nursing bachelor degrees!

What does this mean? If you have a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing major and would like to pursue a nursing degree, not a problem! Most universities have started this program in order to attract people who have been in the working world and would like to do something more meaningful in life:)

Indiana University - School of Nursing is a great example of this program (more can be found here: http://nursing.iupui.edu/degrees/absn/index.shtml). Typically programs will take close to 24 months of full-time education, so you must be dedicated:) If you can break away from the daily grind, you can be a nurse in as little as two years and on your way to a rewarding career!
